Earlier this week we transmitted our kick-off meeting live from the Dallas Stylist Studio at Inwood Village. The team and I were able to show the updates to the studio, present the new winter swatches in detail, and get some selling tips on how to combine them back to fall pieces.
From a product POV, we started by sharing that velvet is back in Black and Navy for those clients needing a special dinner jacket, sportscoat, or suit version of both. The quality is the same 100% cotton we have ran before from Brisbane Moss, the British mill known for exceptional cotton velvets since the 1800’s. These velvets tailor marvelously and offer something special around the fall events and fundraising season, not least for those holiday parties around the corner.

In shirting, we have introduced two new qualities, each with its own clear identity. The first is from our friends at Albini and is a cotton-Lyocell blend in a soft twill fabric construction. Lyocell is an eco-friendly fiber made from the eucalyptus tree. It is lightweight and breathable, not least biodegradable, making it a fiber of our times, with more and more mills including it in their blends. The colorways of these swatches are warm and inviting by using an ecru background that gives the blues, reds, and greens of the patterns a decidedly cold-weather look. They look great layered under zip-style knits and sweaters as an excellent look for late fall and winter. For those looking for decidedly more traditional-looking bright tartans, we are introducing another Lyocell cotton blend from Soktas, but this refined cloth includes Lycra stretch, adding a modern touch of comfort to these holiday shirts.

We are bringing back from last year the Reda Flexo Be-stretch quality in casual pants, which is a wool working perfectly back to fall, where we so this Italian wool addition great add on for clients. Late and breaking news is the much anticipated add to our denim lineup, with two new washes being made available in the run-up to the holidays. These washes have a cleaner appearance than the current range, with no shading or whiskering with a dark rinse and a clean mid-tone wash. Clients continue to love our custom-made denim, so these are not only great gift ideas but must-have add-ons to his custom-made denim range. The less aggressive wash appearance makes them a more polished pair of jeans with a modern stretch fabric that he knows and loves.
We have some fun holiday ties and bow ties in bright tartans and solid colors to add a touch of color to any outfit. Still, some of my own personal favorites are the new scarves we are introducing from Piacenza in Cashmere Silk. Some of you will already know the name Piacenza as a luxury brand both in premium fabric and high-end retail. We have formed a collaborative agreement between our brands, resulting in a co-branded swing card introducing the mill to our clients who will be lucky enough to own these scarves or give them as a gorgeous gift this holiday season.
